My name is Parker Bryant and my two daughters have been attending GCCCC since 2020 where they have enjoyed meeting new friends and learning new things with an amazing group of teachers and staff. Our family moved to Greene County in 2019 and have loved every minute of it. I currently work at a non-profit that supports facilities specializing in Maternal and Pediatric HIV/AIDS care in Africa. Prior to that, my wife and I met while serving in the US Peace Corps where we worked as teachers, so we appreciate how hard that job can be!

As President of the board, I hope to support the school and staff as they continue to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.

Jordan Hargrave, Vice President

Hi everyone! My name is Jordan Hargrave, and my son attends GCCCC and my daughter will begin when she's old enough. I am originally from Danville, VA but moved to the area years ago to attend UVA. I decided to stick around and love calling Greene County home. I work for my husband's business, and in my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, and spending time with my family.

My husband and I are so grateful to have found GCCCC for our son and are pleased with the quality of care and warm and loving environment. We have watched our son grow both socially and academically since starting in 2021. I joined the board because I believe GCCCC is an asset to our community and want to help however I can.

Chelsea "CJ" Shifflett, Secretary

My name is Chelsea "CJ" Shifflett and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and mother of two. I joined the Board of Directors at Greene County Childcare Center in September 2022, immediately following my daughter's enrollment. I was so impressed with GCCCC's communication and organization at the inquiry phase, and once I took my tour, GCCCC felt like home. I knew I wanted to be a part of this community and give back in any way I could, so the Board provided the perfect opportunity to help with decision-making, policy development, and actioning feedback. I look forward to applying my strengths to the Secretary position to provide accurate concurrent documentation and support onboarding for GCCCC Staff and Board members.

Erica Hernandez, Treasurer

My name is Erica Hernandez, I am a middle school English Language teacher in Albemarle County. I have been an educator for fifteen years, teaching preschool through 8th grade in Charlottesville, Greene and Albemarle County.  My three-year-old son has been attending GCCC since June 2023, and I joined the Board of Directors promptly after seeing the quality care he was getting. I began my teaching career in a childcare center and knew that if given the opportunity, I wanted to join the board to give back in any way I could.  I hope that my years of teaching experience and talents will be an asset to the Board of Directors as Treasurer.

My name is Amanda Krumpach and my two children attend GCCCC where they've blossomed in friendships, emotional and social skills, and are growing in knowledge under the care of nurturing teachers and staff. Our family moved to Greene County in 2011 and have enjoyed becoming part of this community that is now our home. I work at a company that specializes in providing learning experiences outside of the classroom and am a former elementary teacher. I appreciate how hard our center works at providing learning and growth opportunities that meet all our children's needs. As a board member, I look forward to working closely with parents and staff to ensure everyone is supported and thriving.

Hello! I'm Brittany Ham, a proud mom of two amazing girls. I've been an elementary school teacher in Albemarle County since 2012. My daughter has been attending GCCC since 2021, and let me tell you, we instantly fell in love with the community. The staff is incredible, and they do so much to help our little one grow. She's learned a ton and enjoys spending time with her friends every day. I decided to join the board to be more involved in helping to continue to create a fun and engaging community.
